Midget

Objective

To offer girls aged 12-18 a safe and fun basketball environment. Aimed at improving her level of basketball play with an emphasis on developing skills, participation and having fun, this is done within a team concept.

General Information

The BGBA offers a recreation program for those players that cannot commit to 2 practices and games each week end week-end.
These teams participate in the West-End Basketball League which consists of teams from Goulbourn, Kanata, Stittsville, Ottawa and Barrhaven. The teams practice one a week and play games on Saturdays and or Sundays. The season starts early November and ends Easter of the next year.
Although deemed a recreation league, player and parents are expected to commit to games and practices throughout the season.

Recreation (West-End Basketball League):

Bantam

Barrhaven recreation teams that play in the West-End Basketball League will be playing their games in Stittsville (A. Lorne Cassidy)

Midget

Barrhaven recreation teams that play in the West-End Basketball League will be playing their games in Barrhaven (Adrienne Clarkson).

Juvenile

Barrhaven recreation teams that play in the West-End Basketball League will be playing their games in Ottawa (gym to be determined).
