Mission

"To provide a quality basketball environment in order to give all players every opportunity to enjoy the game of basketball and to help them achieve their maximum potential as participants of this sport while promoting a sense of 'fair play'."

Aims and Objectives

  • To promote, actively encourage participation, and develop the game of basketball in and around the Barrhaven area;

  • To provide fun, recreation, instruction, youth development and healthful enjoyment through activities and competition, for all who desire to participate in basketball;

  • To recognize the variance of individual skills and capabilities and adjust teams accordingly;

  • To develop basketball programs at instructional, competitive and recreational levels, sponsor or conduct coaching clinics, refereeing clinics and tournaments.

  • To be pro-active in the training and development of Barrhaven athletes, coaches, officials, administrators and volunteers by sponsoring and/or conducting various clinics;

  • To generate partnerships in order to provide revenue to support the sport of girls' basketball;

  • To administer and enforce the rules and regulations that govern the sport;

  • To encourage and stimulate positive public awareness of the sport of girls' basketball;

  • To operate on a not-for-profit basis.
